Want a job with COPA90 in the lead up to and during the World Cup in 2026?
We are looking for storytellers across the USA, Canada, and Mexico to tell their stories in their way. Vertical videos or YouTube vlogs, videographers or photographers. We’re looking for the real stories that speak to the fans looking for more from the beautiful game.
In your own way and your own voice, in a vertical video no more than 60 seconds long, tell us why soccer or football means more to you, and tell us the North American football story you want to share with the world.
Eligibility to apply
To be eligible for selection for the Best Job In The World, candidates must be 18 or over and resident in the USA, Mexico, or Canada, and eligible to work as a freelance contractor within or from their country of residence.
A maximum of one submission for COPA90’s consideration per individual is permitted.

What kind of video should I submit?
Your 60-second vertical video (9:16 aspect ratio) is your chance to introduce yourself, explain why soccer/football means more to you, and pitch the story about soccer/football in North America you've always wanted to tell. Be authentic and showcase your unique voice and storytelling ability.
Do I need professional equipment or editing skills for my video?
No, professional equipment is not a requirement. We are most interested in your passion, your story idea, and your ability to connect with an audience. A video shot on a smartphone is perfectly acceptable. Focus on clear audio and good lighting if possible.
Can I use copyrighted music or footage in my 60-second video submission?
To avoid any rights issues, we strongly recommend using only original content or royalty-free music and footage in your submission video.
Is there a fee to apply for this program?
No, there is no fee to submit an application for consideration.
How will I know if my application has been received?
After you submit your application via the online form, you will receive an on-screen confirmation. Due to the volume of applications, we will not be able to personally confirm receipt of each one via email.
What does the “Best Job in the World” freelance contract involve for the finally selected individual?
The final individual selected will be offered a fixed-term freelance contract to become a key voice and storyteller for COPA90, creating content and covering stories related to soccer/football in North America in the lead-up to and during the 2026 World Cup. Specific deliverables and expectations will be detailed in the freelance contract.
Do I need to be bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish)?
While being bilingual is a plus, it is not a strict requirement. We are looking for authentic storytellers who can connect with football fans, regardless of the number of languages spoken.
Can I apply if I live outside a major city in the USA, Canada, or Mexico?
Yes, as long as you meet the residency and eligibility requirements outlined in the “Eligibility to apply” section, your specific location within those countries does not affect your eligibility.
